Golf PGA tour

Golf PGA tourThe Golf PGA tour is one of the most prestigious golf competitions on the planet whose winners are some of the best players of the sport all over the world. Since it is a professional tournament, all the rules, published in a booklet, are supposed to be followed strictly. Of course, none of the players in the PGA tour are novices but then again not all of them know the rules of the PGA tour and are bound to break them out of ignorance every once in a while. For a novice, the tour rules are a chance for you to have knowledge of the rules that may one day be of use in the PGA tour.

One of the Golf PGA rules that is obvious but may get disregarded is touching the ball. You are not supposed to touch the ball no matter the position it is in during play, the only contact a player has with the ball is when swinging. Only when it is marked on the putting green can a player be allowed to touch the ball. The ball should be hit within the golf course all the time. This cannot be regulated as once in a while you may hit the ball out of the bounds of the playing area. At a moment like this, a player in the PGA golf tournament has the option to take the shot once more. If the ball is nearby, there is no point of taking a second shot. If the ball is at a far off distance or if it will take more than 5 minutes to locate it and bring it back to the course you need to use the provisional ball which will from that time on take the place of the first ball. If it takes more than 5 minutes to locate the ball, you stand a chance of being penalized for it.

There are some exceptional circumstances in the PGA tour when you are allowed to touch the ball. In these cases you will not be penalized for handling it. If the ball has been stopped by an object which is not natural (vehicles, golf clubs etc), you are allowed to remove the object for the ball to continue in its course. If however the object cannot be removed e.g. a tree or any other vegetation, you are allowed to remove the ball and place it at a distance of two club lengths from the object and continue with the game.

If the ball has stopped next to a natural object such that it is hard to hit it in the position it is in, you may have to contend with the situation and play the ball as it is. On the PGA Tour the ball cannot be handled in any other circumstance even it is coated with vegetation or mud. Winning a PGA golf tournament can be one of the best achievements you have ever made.
